Now Inussuk A/S takes over the maintenance contract at Pituffik Space Base
Today, 1 October, marks the day that Inussuk A/S will be taking over the Base Maintenance Contract (BMC) at Pituffik Space Base.
During the last six months, Inussuk has prepared the transition, and now we are ready to undertake our many new obligations, says Jeppe Bloch Steffensen, CEO of Inussuk:
"We have utilised the time to gain competencies and skills so that our customer will experience the same high level of service as before the transition.”
With both Permagreen and Vectrus Services behind Inussuk, we have ensured that much of the local know-how can be maintained in future. And Jeppe Bloch Steffensen has great expectations to his and the company's new role as supplier to USSF.
“First and foremost, we will work very hard to deliver the best service to our customer. But our hope is also that Greenland will get a stronger connection to the base. Therefore, we will increase the involvement of the local businesses in our work. And we will also increase the effort to recruit local workforce and apprentices," he says.
The headquarters of Inussuk is in Nuuk. And here we are already engaged in the local business network, in communities and in schools.
"Our focus is that the presence of the United States Space Force in Greenland should benefit the Greenlandic society. We will work towards this goal in the future years," says Jeppe Bloch Steffensen.
